A celebration honoring the Andrews Raiders will be held in McComb on Saturday, June 23. In remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, this all day event will feature a parade, a ceremony at the cemetery, Living History characters and more.
Two of the famous Andrews Raiders, William Bensinger and John Reed Porter are buried in the McComb Union Cemetery and the library houses the original Medal of Honor that was issued to Bensinger.
